RoboCop 2020 Type 2

The heaviest robot I've ever made, weighing about half a kilogram.

Nearly 100 cable ties, large and small,  are used to bind parts together.

  Looks strong enough, doesn't it?

Shiny Stockings

I’ve been always fascinated by the shapes of bike brake levers, especially those of Shimano STI shifters.

They look pretty sexy to me.

Water Buffalo

It all began with a sunglasses frame I picked up while jogging.

And I picked out a camera air blower from my junk box.

El Condor Pasa

Two pieces of cantilever brakes have turned into the head of a condor.

RoboCop 2020

Bike parts, as it turns out, are very versatile because of their unique shapes. Actually, it didn’t take much of a stretch of imagination to piece them together to create RoboCop 2020 for the Tokyo Olympic Games :)

Blue-eyed Crow

Making an assemblage, as my friend puts it, is like piecing a puzzle together, which involves lots of twists and turns.

But it's well worth the effort and time you put into it.

Bike Bell Snail

I'm having fun with a tray of bike parts.

A snail made up of a bell and few other parts.

Another Byproduct of My New Bike

Again, made primarily of recycled materials, most of which are bicycle parts.

A Byproduct of My New Bike

My principle has always been to “use materials for what they are, without cutting, curving and painting.”

A couple of spare parts for my new bike have turned into a miniature motorcycle.

Voodoo Mask

I've been wondering for quite a while what I can do with this Indian brass necklace...

And it has turned into something I’ve never thought of.

Bipedal Robohorse

As usual, no blueprint or anything of that sort. I never know what it's going to look like until it's finished, which is the most fun part of scrap recycling.

For starters, I just wanted to make realistic hands.

And it's turned out this way.
Not that this is what I intended to make...
